Your First Visit to Our Windsor Office

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a friendly and comfortable environment.

Make Yourself at Home

Windsor Family Chiropractic Center is located in the Windsor Palms shopping center, close to Round Table Pizza and above Palms Bar and Grill. You’ll find plenty of convenient parking and a well-lit parking lot. Our office is on the second floor, but there is an elevator for your convenience.

When you enter the office, the first person you’ll meet is Anne, our office manager. If you haven’t done so already, Anne will give you a new patient and health history form to fill out. A complete health history is the first step for any new chiropractic patient. Then you’ll meet Dr. Beau Rhodes.

We Explain Everything First

We understand that it can be a little scary going to a chiropractor for the first time or even just changing to a different chiropractor. You’re not sure what we’re going to do, how we’re going to do it, and whether it will hurt. That is why we will answer any questions and fully explain everything before we do anything. We do everything we can to make your first experience with us as comfortable as possible.

A Complete Evaluation of Your Problem

Dr. Rhodes will review your health history and then spend as much time as is needed to fully understand your health problems and personal concerns. He will ask you a lot of questions. Where is your pain located? Does it travel or move from side to side? How would you describe the pain? Is it sharp? Is it dull? Do you experience any numbness or tingling? What makes the pain worse? What makes it better? What caused the pain in the first place? How long has it been hurting you? What have you done for it in the past? Is there anything else we’ve missed?

Dr. Rhodes will then perform a complete examination of your spine. The detailed evaluation includes moving your spine in all directions, pushing on your spine to find areas of tenderness, and using instruments that help find areas of swelling and inflammation. Finally, Dr. Rhodes will use his fingertips to feel how the bones move; if they normally or if they are “stuck” out of place. Often, at the end of the examination, x-rays will be taken right here in our office.

After reviewing all your information, Dr. Rhodes will decide if chiropractic care is likely to help you and your condition. If Dr. Rhodes honestly believes he can help you, he will tell you. However, if he thinks chiropractic will not be able to help your condition, he will tell you that, also.

If you decide to begin treatment (remember, you’re the boss), Dr. Rhodes will get started right then with your first chiropractic adjustment. We know you’re in pain and our number one goal is to get you feeling better as quickly as possible.

When you are finished, you will be able to schedule and appointment for your second chiropractic visit.
